There is a moment, just before you slip off the edge of the boat, where the world goes silent. You’re bobbing in the turquoise expanse of the Caribbean Sea, miles off the coast of Cancun, where the deep blue of the Atlantic meets the warm currents of the Gulf.

There is a specific kind of magic that happens at twilight in Amsterdam, right when the sun dips low enough to turn the brick facades into molten gold. But to see it from the water—clinking a glass of crisp Riesling against the railing of a luxury river ship—is to see the city exactly as it was meant to be experienced.

Most people look at their picture and say something like, “Wow, my hair looks crazy!” or “I look terrified!”

But I have a different goal.

My goal is to make the funniest face possible in every single ride photo.

And I take this job very seriously.
