Best. Day. Ever: My Turks and Caicos Boat Adventure!

Hi, I am Ella Grace!
I love Turks and Caicos! My family and a huge group of our friends went on a private boat tour, and I’m pretty sure I want to live on that boat forever.
Here is why it was the highlight of our whole vacation:
Snorkeling & Secret Islands
The water here is so blue it looks like someone dumped a giant gallon of Gatorade into the ocean. We jumped in to snorkel, and it was like swimming in a real-life aquarium. I saw so many colorful fish and even a couple sharks and baracuda!
After snorkeling, we headed to Iguana Island. It’s exactly what it sounds like, an island full of iguanas! They just hang out on the sand like they’re waiting for us to take their picture. They look like tiny dinosaurs, but way cooler. There are some really pretty beaches here too that we got to visit. My mom of course insists on taking a million pictures.
The Boat Was Basically a Floating Playground
The best part of the boat? The waterslide. It was so fast and dumped you right in the ocean! There is nothing cooler than sliding right off the roof of a boat and splashing into the ocean.
When I wasn't sliding, I was:
Flipping off the side: I jumped off the side but our friends who were older than me did lots of flips.
The Dance Party: Our captain turned the music up loud, and we had a dance party on the deck. Dancing on a moving boat is a little tricky, but it makes it even more fun.
Floating with friends: Just floating and swimming in the water with all my friends and the grown-ups was so much fun.
Making Memories
Having 20 of our family friends there made it so special. It was like a huge party in the middle of the ocean. We were all laughing, eating snacks, and enjoying the sun. My mom says these are the "core memories," and I think she’s right. I’ll never forget the feeling of the wind in my hair and the salt on my skin.
If you’re going to Turks and Caicos, you have to get a boat. Just make sure it has a slide!
