If you’ve ever wondered what it would feel like to actually step inside the Haunted Mansion, I can officially tell you… it’s AMAZING.
Hi! I’m Emily Claire, I’m 12, and I LOVE cruising with Disney Cruise Line. Like… love love it. And on the newest ships, the Disney Treasure and the Disney Destiny, there is something that completely blew me away: the Haunted Mansion Parlor.
If you’re even a little obsessed with the Haunted Mansion in the parks like I am, you are going to freak out in the best way.
First of all, the atmosphere is everything. The second you walk in, it feels like you’ve stepped right into the ride. The lighting is moody and mysterious, the décor is detailed and dramatic, and there are little surprises everywhere. It’s elegant but spooky at the same time, which is honestly such a vibe. I could have stayed in there for hours just looking around at all the details.
But what really made it special for me were the people.
The servers were so into it. They didn’t just bring drinks. They were part of the story. They had the perfect slightly eerie energy while still being super friendly and fun. They made me feel like I was part of something exclusive and magical. That is one of my favorite things about Disney Cruise Line. The Cast Members always go above and beyond, and this was no exception.
Now let’s talk about the drinks.
Obviously I’m 12, so I stuck with the non alcoholic specialty drinks, and they were SO fun. They were creative, beautifully presented, and totally Instagram worthy. Some had fun garnishes, some had smoky effects, and all of them tasted amazing. It felt fancy and grown up but still totally appropriate for me. I loved that I could have a specialty experience too, not just the adults.
The Haunted Mansion Parlor is one of those places that makes you feel like Disney really thought of everything. It’s immersive, it’s creative, and it’s something you can’t experience anywhere else except on these ships.
