Why You've Never Seen Me As A “Sponsor Travel Agent” in Disney Facebook Groups
If you’ve spent any time in Disney planning Facebook groups, you’ve probably seen the term “sponsor TA.” And I get asked about it more often than you might think, so I wanted to explain my stance clearly, honestly, and with a little heart.
I choose not to pay to be a sponsor travel agent in Disney groups. Not because I don’t value my business, but because I value trust, transparency, and client protection more.
Visibility Isn’t the Same as Vetting
In many Facebook groups, sponsorship simply means an agent paid for the right to post, comment, or be promoted. What it often doesn’t mean is that the agent was vetted for experience, training, responsiveness, or how they actually support their clients.
There’s usually no review of:
How long they’ve been planning Disney vacations
Whether they stay current on Disney policies and changes
How they handle issues when things go wrong
Or how they advocate for clients before, during, and after travel
For a Disney vacation, which is often a once-in-a-lifetime trip, a big financial investment, and deeply emotional for families, that lack of vetting matters.
What I Believe Instead
I believe families deserve recommendations based on experience and fit.
If I recommend a Disney resort, cruise, or experience, it’s because:
I’ve personally researched it or experienced it
I understand who it’s best for (and who it’s not)
I’ve seen real client feedback (the good and the bad)
It genuinely aligns with your family’s needs, budget, and travel style
I don’t ever want someone wondering, “Is this what’s best for my family… or what benefits the agent?”
My Vetting Process (The Part That Matters Most)
I actively vet resorts, cruise lines, and experiences using a mix of:
Firsthand knowledge
Ongoing education and training
Disney updates and policy changes
Real client experiences and feedback
Overall value
That process doesn’t fit neatly into a sponsored post and I’m okay with that.
Why I Take the Slower Route
I’d rather show up in groups the same way I show up for my clients:
Answering questions honestly
Sharing helpful tips freely
Being transparent about what’s realistic and what’s not
Letting trust build naturally over time
I want families to choose me because they feel confident, informed, and supported not because my name was pinned at the top of a post.
Paying for visibility isn’t wrong. It’s just not how I choose to do business.
My priority will always be protecting my clients, maintaining my integrity, and planning trips I truly believe in, especially when it comes to Disney vacations, where expectations are high and memories matter.
